When Faith Moves Heaven

When we choose faith over fear, heaven moves on our behalf. When Jesus walked the earth, His ministry was marked by power.
Matthew 4:23–24 tells us He went throughout Galilee “healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” His fame spread, and crowds came with every imaginable affliction—physical pain, torment, paralysis, demonic oppression—and He healed them.
But Scripture also reveals something we often overlook: Jesus did not heal everyone, everywhere.
Not because He lacked compassion.
Not because He lacked power.
But because faith was missing.
Faith: The Atmosphere of the Miraculous
Mark 6:5–6 gives us one of the most sobering statements in the Gospels:
And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He wondered at their unbelief. And He was going around the villages teaching. – Mk 6:5-6 NASB95
It doesn’t say Jesus would not. It says He could not.
Unbelief didn’t diminish His authority—unbelief diminished the environment. Faith pleases God, and without faith, heaven does not move. Jesus only did what the Father approved, and the Father responds to faith, not doubt.
If the world’s systems collapsed today—no internet, no doctors, no medicine—would the church still have enough faith to lay hands on the sick and believe God for healing? Faith is the dividing line between Christianity as theory and Christianity as power.
Faith Is Heaven’s Currency
Faith is believing God without visible evidence.
Faith is hope that refuses to bow to natural circumstances.
Faith is the internal drive to pursue God even when everything around you says “give up.”
Few people walk in this kind of faith.
A negative, critical, double‑minded environment suffocates the work of the Holy Spirit. You cannot believe and doubt at the same time and expect heaven to respond. Faith must be steadfast, unwavering, and anchored in God’s Word.
When Faith Shows Up, Heaven Moves
Throughout Scripture, Jesus responded to faith:
Jesus told a woman, your faith has made you well.
He told a blind man the same, and he immediately received sight.
Ten lepers were healed on the way, but only one returned—and only one was made whole.
The woman who anointed Jesus was told, your faith has saved you; go in peace.
Salvation itself comes by faith. Faith is the currency that moves heaven.
Where faith was present, miracles manifested. Where unbelief dominated, miracles were restricted.
Faith Seen in the Spirit
One of my favorite testimonies is in Acts 14.
“A certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, ‘Stand up straight on your feet!’ And he leaped and walked.” – Act 14:8-10
Paul saw a crippled man “had faith to be healed.” Faith is visible in the Spirit. Ministers can tell when someone truly believes. Many say they believe, but their actions reveal otherwise. People often pray and then re-confess their problem. That is not faith—it is emotional attachment to the issue.
Faith is not passive. It reaches, believes, obeys, receives, and walks it out. The enemy will always try to push you into unbelief.
But where faith is present, healing and deliverance happen.
Matthew 8:16–17 shows Jesus casting out demons with a word and healing the sick. Demons cause mental, physical, and spiritual sickness—and often poverty, as seen with the woman with the issue of blood who spent all she had on doctors. Jesus said her faith made her whole.
Faith moves heaven. Faith releases healing. Faith brings deliverance. Faith pleases God.
Deliverance and Healing
“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick…” – Matt 8:16-17
Jesus cast out spirits with a word. This means He spoke to the demons and told them to leave. He may have called them by name and at other times simply called them unclean and foul. When they left, the people were often healed.
Demons cause sickness—mental, physical, and spiritual. They cause poverty, which often goes with sickness due to medical expenses.
We see this with the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years. She spent all she had on doctors and was not healed. Jesus said her faith in Him made her whole.
Let's pray,
Heavenly Father, I choose faith even when my circumstances are telling me not to. I know that if I believe that all things are possible. But there are times when I struggle with unbelief and need Your grace to see me through. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord in Your Spirit manifests Your desire to heal and do miracles. Use me to be part of Your healing plan for the nations. In Jesus name, Amen
