Welcome to the world of spiritual warfare! It is exciting to see the works of Jesus Christ manifested through the Holy Spirit, knowing that the Kingdom of God is touching earth! However, there are many different thoughts on the subject of speaking in tongues and interpretation, prayer, prophecy, healing, deliverance, demons, angels, and the like. I have found over the years of my research that some of these teachings are very solid biblically and some are not. Some teachings are solid biblically along with a whole lot of spirituality and some are solid biblically but without the power behind it. Because of the diversity of teachings out there, this page will be dedicated to articles on these subjects in order to help you learn more about these topics. Prayer has the propensity to press through any person's problems! All we have to do is bring faith with it and the prayer of the righteous will avail much! Remember that without faith it is impossible to please God.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Too many times while praying for the sick to be healed for those in bondage to be set free, people stumble over their own ability. They do this because they forget that it is not in our strength but in the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit that the sick are healed and the captives set free! This puts way too much pressure on the individual doing the praying. Just relax and let God use you as a conduit for His power, grace, and mercy to flow through and leave the healing up to Him! Now doesn't that set you free right now? Sure it does because it reminds us that He is who He says He is and we are who He says we are and we don't have to be who He is! Praise God!
Prayer comes in many forms because it is an expression to the Holy Father. Prayer is a way to communicate with God through Jesus Christ our needs, our fears, our desires but also, and most importantly prayer is the way to manifest the Kingdom of God here on earth! We must learn how to pray God's will and not our fleshly desires.
