FAQs

  • How can I determine if I need deliverance?
You may need deliverance if you have been involved with the Occult, struggle with mental issues, depression, sadness, anxiety, or various fears. If you read your Bible, praise and worship God, and maintain an active prayer life but are still in bondage to things like food, drugs, alcohol, shopping, or pornography, you likely need deliverance. If you cannot stop sinning, deliverance may be necessary. "But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil." - 1 John 3:8 NLT
  • Didn't Jesus Christ finish it ALL on the Cross?
Yes He did! When Jesus said "it is finished" He meant the atonement, the blood sacrifice for sin was finished. Never again does anyone have to die for their own sins, if they so choose to believe in Him who the Father (God) sent. However, we as followers of Christ must appropriate the Blood of Jesus Christ to our lives, much like Moses was to take the lamb and slaughter it, along with all the other Israelites, and apply the blood to the doorposts (Exodus 12:7), we must apply the Blood to our lives. Thirty percent of Jesus' ministry was casting out demons! If it wasn't relevant then why did He do it and why did He teach His disciples to do the same? 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18 KJV). “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give" (Matt 10:8 NKJV). Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1).
  • Who can benefit from deliverance?
Deliverance is primarily for believers of Jesus Christ who seek freedom from oppression or addiction. Understanding that Jesus Christ is the Deliverer is crucial. As ambassadors of Christ, we perform His works, but it is ultimately Jesus who sets us free. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father." - John 14:12 ASV. If a person doesn't believe in Jesus Christ, they may not believe in His power to set them free. "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36 NIV. Sometimes, a believer can cast a demon out of a non-believer, preach the gospel to them, and they get saved. Removing spiritual hindrances can help them receive the Good News.
  • Is everyone able to perform deliverance?
Any believer in Jesus Christ has the authority to cast out demons, but it is advisable to seek guidance from experienced ministers who specialize in deliverance ministry. Proper training and spiritual maturity are crucial for effective deliverance. "God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out. But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, 'I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.' Seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. And the evil spirit answered and said to them, 'I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?' And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." - Acts 19:11-16 NASB95
