You do not have to live under the oppression of this lawless world. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you are in this world but not of this world. You have been given authority, power, and strength to take dominion over all God has given you. The Hebrew word for authority stems from a word that means to overpower or prevail.
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. - Ecc 4:12
Jesus said, "With man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible." Many things that appear to be impossible are not when we put God in the center of them. You are carrying the greatest threefold cord in all the world – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God lives in you. You are now empowered, strengthened, and positioned with authority to overcome anything that tries to get in your way! Hallelujah!
Every impossibility is made possible in the Spirit of the living God that resides within you because you are empowered! "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Act 1:8
You are equipped! The enemy of your soul that rules this earth does not want you to know what a wrecking ball you are in the spirit realm. But God says, I have predestined you for great things. I know what I planned for you before you were born, and I think about these plans for your life. I called you to receive spiritual blessings and to know the hope of My calling for your life. I have requested that you be in line with My thoughts so that I can establish a thing in the earth and see it come forth through you.
Because I created you, I have designed some things specifically and only for you. Your personality, physical strength or lack thereof, education, testimony, spouse, and children are all part of my plan. Therefore, when you naysay the hard things in your life, you may very well speak against My plans for you at that moment. Oh, to know My thoughts that are not yours or My ways which are also not your ways. For a moment, the future goodness of who I am may look as if it is on hold, but I am always good, so nothing has been withheld from you to complete My purposes. Engage My child with My will. My kingdom must be unleashed, and since I have established My Ecclesia, it must come through people. You are My righteousness, My glory, My joy, and in you is My kingdom. Release it today. Release it now.
Jesus gave authority to those who would be trained for centuries, not just the twelve disciples. After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' 17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." – Luk 10:1, 9, 17
Jesus gave His disciples the authority and power to heal sicknesses and cast out demons as they went out to preach. These twelve were appointed first, but later we see seventy others doing the same thing. These seventy came back excited that they had this kind of power, this Jesus power, to do what He instructed them to do.
The purpose of authority and power is to make disciples for Jesus Christ. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen. - Mat 28:17-20 NKJV
When Jesus cast out demons, the religious zealots accused Him of doing so by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons. Jesus responded with a question. He asked how Satan could cast out Satan. If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
I ask you, a fellow believer in Christ Jesus, how can a divided Church take the demonic realm for the glory of God when they are operating in the power of the devil? What? Yeah, I said that. The devil's work is on display whenever angry sin, self-righteousness, back-biting gossip, divisions and fractions, jealousy, and the likes happen.
As a body of believers, we are being called back to holiness, and when we arrive at that place in our personal lives, we will love each other as Jesus intended. Our love will demonstrate unity in the power of the Spirit even if we do not always agree.
Let's pray,
Heavenly Father, help! We repent for walking in the flesh. We repent for not loving each other as You demonstrated Your love for us. Help us turn from our heart's desires to Yours and advance Your kingdom while bringing destruction to the devils. We bless each minister at every level with peace and prosperity. In Jesus' name, Amen
