Recently, my husband and I decided that we were going to step out in obedience and add something to our church - outreach. Not just any outreach but taking a Gospel truck out to the streets and worship and preach! We start this endeavor on March 1, 2024.
The Gospel Truck is part of an evangelistic endeavor by Chris Overstreet with Compassion to Action, and we are blessed to partner with him here in Arizona!
The obedience comes from a word that God impressed in my heart, and I want to share it with you and pray that you will choose to get out of the four walls of the church and tell somebody about Jesus! I was reading Joel chapter three when the Holy Spirit prompted me with a word from the Lord.
9 Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; rouse the warriors; let all the men of war advance and attack! 10 Beat your plows into swords and your pruning knives into spears. Let even the weakling say, "I am a warrior." 11 Come quickly, all you surrounding nations; gather yourselves. Bring down your warriors there, LORD. 12 Let the nations be roused and come to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit down to judge all the surrounding nations. - Joel 3:9-12
I encourage you to read through to verse twenty-one to catch the rest of what is happening in these verses. The following is what the Lord spoke regarding His heart's desire. Keep in mind that judgment begins in the house of the Lord. God must judge His people for their sins. We do not want to be found guilty of being lukewarm when He makes His decision.
“Arise! Awake! My sons and My daughters, for the harvest season of souls is at hand. The time to gather is near. Your rewards will be added to you as you labor on My behalf. Many, many have been quickened by My Spirit for I have been on the highways and byways as My angels take My word and deliver it unto the peoples.”
For I am aware of the great need of the nations and have had My eye on the streets of America. The desperation is great, and the cries are loud! Yes, the cry of torment is loud! I can no longer dismiss the pleas of the broken for some of them hold My plans and My gifts in them through their forefathers and mothers. I want Mine!
The wrestling in the souls of those in America has much to do with My voice upon the earth. The agonizing fight in the soul is due to the lack of the fear of My Name. For I AM Yahweh! I AM the One that is Holy and chose them. They fight against what they don’t understand. I Am their opponent because of their rebellion, but now I will turn the tide of this wrestling match and answer the prayers of My saints!
“Addictions will be broken! Depression and despair will be healed and hope restored even to the homeless, I will restore hope! Hope is in My name, soon the highs the people have chosen as their god instead of Me will no longer work for I AM the God Most High, and there is none like Me. I will no longer share My presence with the darkness My people have chosen."
Come out from among them now says the Lord of Hosts – Come out now and separate yourself and I will be your Father, and you will be My children. Come! The clock is ticking, time is fading – the reapers are at hand!”
Then I saw mounds of dirt and people surrounding them with shovels. They began to remove the dirt, quite effortlessly, and people popped out of the mounds and took a deep breath, gasping for air as if they had just been resuscitated.
I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 17 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do
not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, and you
shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.” - 2 Corinthians 6:16-18
God is looking for those who will separate themselves from the unclean. He is not going to do this for them for it is a choice to be holy.
The prophet Ezekiel wrote, My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. - Ezekiel 37:27
Connect these verses with the words of John in chapter one verse fourteen. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us....
These are really exciting times, and we have the opportunity to partner with the God of the universe to see souls saved! I want to encourage you to go out in boldness because you are a child of God with the greatest power in the universe living inside of you! God out and spend the love of Jesus Christ on someone!!!!
