The world would have many believing that the name of Jesus Christ is illegal nowadays. Just ask anyone in the music industry or anyone in the arts and entertainment world. I recently heard a preacher talking about Kanye West being forbidden by his contract to speak the name of Jesus. I thought to myself, “how many others have signed a contract with Satan?” Yes, when we agree with the spirit of antichrist not to speak the name of Jesus Christ, then we have contracted ourselves to Satan.
While Jesus was in the wilderness with no food nor water for forty days, Satan paid Him a visit; more than once, he showed up to try to tempt Jesus. Satan offers power, kingdoms, and fame to anyone ignorant and desperate enough to take up his offer. But it is not without a price.
Jesus rebuked His disciple, Peter, for having his mind on the things of man and not God. He rebuked him to the point of addressing Satan as the voice speaking through him. “Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Mk 8:33
34 Then Jesus called the crowd to Him along with His disciples, and He told them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it.
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.” - Mk 8:34-38 BSB
Denying or omitting the name of Jesus is nothing new; it has been going on for decades. Many people believe they can skirt around the name of Jesus and still be saved but that is not what Jesus Christ taught.
Why is the Name of Jesus Forbidden?
The name of Jesus is forbidden by many in the world under the guise of political correctness and not offend anyone. However, we do not see the name of Allah or Buddha being forbidden from the media realm, only Jesus. The name of Jesus Christ is power, every knee must bow to it. At the mention of the name of Jesus, demons flee. The agenda behind not being allowed to speak the name of Jesus is satanic in nature. It is the voice of the dark world that is doing its very best to keep Jesus out of the picture. Of course, it is not possible to keep Jesus out because He was there in the beginning.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.
In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. - Jn 1:1-5 BSB
When miracles happen, it shows us the kingdom of God manifesting here on earth. It is God’s will to manifest His kingdom here,
and we know it because Jesus said in prayer, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God desires to show us His kingdom through signs and wonders. Jesus also said to go and heal the sick telling them that the kingdom of God has come near to them.
But look at the backlash that can also come when miracles happen.
17 "But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name." 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. - Act 4:17-18
Acts chapter three tells us about an account of a man crippled from birth, who hung out at the gate of the temple Beautiful and begged. Most people know of the story, when Peter said, 8 “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. - Act 3:8-9
When Peter and John came up to the man and healed him the whole town into an uproar.
1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. - Act 4:1-2 NKJV
Demonic spirits will wreak havoc on an atmosphere when Jesus shows up. The healing took place because of the work of the Holy Spirit that was in these men. They operated in signs and wonders regularly, but this account was a bit different because so many people knew of this man. He had been begging there for years, even Jesus would have walked by him. But, today was the day that God decided the man was to be healed, today was his day.
When we deny the name of Jesus Christ from being released into a dark atmosphere, we actually align our will to Satan’s. This miracle led to 5000 people being saved! The power in the name of Jesus produces all sorts of heavenly manifestations.
Beware of the Evil of Unbelief
One of the main reasons the name of Jesus is quenched is because of unbelief. 12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." - Heb 3:12-15 NKJV
If a believer turns from their faith for financial gain, popularity, or position, it is evident that their heart has hardened. Those who escaped the bondage of Egypt were unable to enter into the promised land because of their unbelief (Heb 3:19). Some may start out well, but when they learn there is a cost to their Christianity, they begin to bow to the gods of this world. Let it not be said of you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the word that strengthens me and equips me with understanding and wisdom. I repent for any time I bowed to the gods of this world, and I ask that You would forgive me. I choose to be a person of conviction and principle, even if it cost me everything. It is my desire to please You, and in turn, I know You will bless me indeed. In Jesus' name, Amen.
