Character Assassin – Jezebel

I first released this blog on Jezebel in April but with the onslaught of this spirit on the rise I believe it needs to be spoken of again.
Today, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is under a tremendous assault against his character. Kavanaugh is one of President Trumps picks for Supreme Court Judge and, as always been the case, whenever a judge is being placed in this arena there is a battle that ensues.
A woman has come against him with accusations of sexual assault and a couple of others have tried to back her up. Given both sides of the story it appears that the accusations may not be accurate, although I am not going to put that judgment out there. However, I do want to bring to remembrance why Jezebel and King Ahab married. Their marriage was a political alignment and her desire was to prosper the false prophets of Baal in a country called to worship Yahweh only. Jezebel succeeded with her murderous plans, although in the end it did not turn out well for her.
There are political alliances in the spirit realm and the natural that are determined to continue the agenda of Satan. The biggest issue of our nation are humanistic worldview vs biblical worldview. The first view desires to keep abortion in place and strong as well as empowering the homosexual lifestyle by corrupting our children and instructing them in the abominations of such lifestyle while confusing them of the own gender identity and sexual orientation. These reasons and others are why the constant, never-ending battle in the government rages on. Christians must take a stand to pray and vote while not forgetting that we are to live by a biblical worldview, one that lines up with God's truth and His word.

In her article she gave three prayer points and I would like to include them here.
Please pray into the following:
Target the spirit of assassination that brings accusation and slander that is raging against leaders in the United States. This spirit is at large even within the confounds of the church. Bind it in the name of Jesus.
Pray that the spirit of Jezebel be bound and the tongues of those being used would be shut.
Pray for unity and the will of the Lord above all else would prevail.

Have you ever had your character assassinated for absolutely no reason? Many people have, and often it is due to a vengeful Jezebel spirit. Jezebel is a “get even” kind of spirit and will kill, steal, and destroy a messenger of God even at his or her own expense. Jezebel type of personalities has no clue as to the condition of their own heart.
This kind of person will not repent nor will they recognize the authority of Scripture for Perversity [is] in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord. - Pro 6:14
If you have been a Christian for a while it is likely you have heard of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel and the horrific deeds they did in that historic time. In summary, these two people made a political alliance of sorts with their marriage, and in doing so they took the entire nation of God’s people into the sin of idolatry.
Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 33 And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. - 1Ki 16:32-33
Ahab thought it was no big deal to walk in disobedience to God’s word and take a wife from the Sidonians and serve the god Baal, worshiping him and turning his back on the God of Israel of which he was king. Because Ahab lacked the fear of the Lord, he did whatever he felt would benefit his own kingdom. When Ahab wed Jezebel, they became a powerful political alliance that brought advantages to both of their home nations. Unfortunately for the Israelite it also gave Jezebel a way to spread her religious defilement upon the nation of God’s chosen people. Of course, this could only happen because the people allowed it when they worshiped these false gods.
Behind King Ahab, was now a powerful Queen that took full advantage of this marriage and saw it as an opportunity to spread her Baal religion. Baal worship involved many false deities, ritual sex, temple prostitution and likely child sacrifices. King Ahab had now come under the witchcraft deceit of his new bride moving him to protect and even encourage pagan rituals.
God warned the Israelite's not to take wives from other nations because He knew their worship of other gods would defile His chosen people. Time and time again the Israelite's refused to heed the voice of God, and we see a pattern over thousands of years of a rebellious and sinful nation that often came under the wrath of God, until they repented.
Ahab was a powerful and strong man, but he was a very morally weak man. In his moral weakness, he allowed his wife and the people of God to be handed over to the demonic soul rulers of that territory, in this case, the spirit of Jezebel.
Soul rulers overpower an individual's soul; they afflict and inflict intense spiritual and emotional pressure on a person until that individual is overcome with demonic presence. If the person has a door open to sin, they will do the bidding of the demonic spirit. When Jezebel is the principality in charge, we will see numerous manifestations of ungodly and unhealthy characteristics in people.
Many people are under the assumption that the spirit of Jezebel only influences women, but that is not the case, many men have this spirit as well. We must not be quick to determine that a man with a seducing spirit doesn’t have a seductive Jezebel spirit. One of the most destructive people I have met with a Jezebel spirit was a man. His life was in the hands of this tormentor, and he refused to battle until the full freedom came.
The prophet Elijah encountered Ahab and Jezebel in the natural and the spiritual. He confronted these two with boldness and supernatural power. It takes courageous boldness and the power of God to deal with a Jezebel spirit. Because of the matrimonial alliance, God sent Elijah to prophesy punishment.
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, "[As] the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word." - 1Ki 17:1
Here’s what Jesus prophesied about the type of person that allows a spirit of Jezebel to rule them “And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 “I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each of you according to your works. Rev 2:21-23
A person under the influence of a Jezebel and its cohorts is out to bring destruction to the prophets of God and any minister of the Lord who will dare to speak the word of God with boldness and truth. This spirit is raised up in the depths of hate and animosity and part of its plan, just as Queen Jezebel's was, is to destroy the kingdom of God and rob Him of worship. Idol worship is the anchor of the Jezebel spirit, and the first thing this spirit worships is self.

Born out of rebellion and witchcraft; For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king. - 1Sa 15:23 KJV
Prideful and un-submitted to authority, will not apologize.
They are self-ordained prophets. False prophets.
Selfish and lacking empathy unless it serves a purpose to fake it.
Defensive and a perfectionist; believing they are rejected when corrected.
Very religious, they serve God to look good in the “church” but will not submit their hearts to Him.
Worship the flesh with a narcissistic nature.
Emasculates men in various ways if they are a female they will do it to divest them of the power, and if it is a man with a Jezebel spirit, they are often women haters and have been (or currently are) bent towards homosexuality.
Bitter.
Vengeful and bent on retaliation.
Insecure, yet appears at times to be very confident.
Disrespects all authority.
Bossy and demanding.
Uses false flattery to get you to trust them.
Preys on your compassion by playing the victim in hopes to gain pity.
The person who is under the power of Jezebel and its demonic servants can be very dangerous, especially to another individuals emotions. If you recognize these character traits in yourself, I encourage you to seek the Lord for your deliverance and healing. God is the only one that can free a person from this high-level principality. If you see these qualities in another, and Holy Spirit confirms it, seek wisdom and counsel on how to help the person or run. Some battles cannot be fought alone and should not be, and some should not be engaged in at all.
Let’s pray,
Heavenly Father, today I’m thankful for the blood of Jesus Christ that redeemed my life. I ask You Lord to search my heart and reveal to me through Your Spirit anything I have in common with this prophet killing, idol worshiping queen. Separate me for the work of Your kingdom and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, reveal to me these ungodly qualities and fill me up with the fruit of Your Spirit in exchange for the filthy fruit of Jezebel. Today I repent of all idol worship, false worship, seduction, adultery, and sexual sin. I stand in the gap for the Church as well that Jezebel will not be tolerated within the assembly of God’s people. In Jesus name, Amen.
